"Super Models"
Every intelligence that is human is genetically encoded into every human child. The catch is that the coding is only potential, it has to be real-ised. This requires a set of optimum conditions so each child can open the intelligence-potential they are born with. That’s where we come in - as Super Models.

"Go Outside and Play"
One of the inherent human intelligences every child is born with is Nature Intelligence. This intelligence will be at the forefront of future human efforts to work with nature and the ecological systems upon which life depends. We cannot bring up a whole generation of children who are ecoliterate. The good news is, home-based care is ideally placed to foster ecoliteracy. We could be the Super Models for ecoliteracy in ECE.
"Stone Age Babies In Our Consumer Society"
Babies haven’t changed in tens of thousands of years. However, group care for babies and toddlers is a very new experiment, only a few decades old in this country. There are some important things we should know about the development of babies in their first three years, things that will decide how well their lives turn out in the future. In this workshop we will learn the steps to the Partnership Dance that all human babies expect when they are born, an expectation that is thousands of years old.
Pennie is a Mum, a Nana, an artist, and an author among other things. She has been 50 years in education working alongside children in primary schools, families in Playcentre, and adults at the tertiary level. She facilitates courses focusing on children’s creativity, ecoliteracy, earth education, story, teaching and learning. In 2004 she attended the first summer school in English at The Emmi Pikler Institute at Budapest learning about biologically compatible group care for babies and young children. Inspired by the Approach of Dr Emmi Pikler, she offers in-depth trainings in the Culture of Kindness. She sees this way of being as the way to peace. www.penniebrownlee.weebly.com
