If you’re having an issue you need help with, our Executive Committee members will offer expert professional advice, advocacy and support. 

Input on Policy Development and Lobbying

Make your voice heard for the benefit of the Home-based sector at a local body and governmental level. We consult closely with our service provider members, so we can be your voice to the MOE, MSD, ERO and the IRD, all of whom directly confer with us on policy development. We are also represented on the Early Childhood Advisory Council and are invited onto working parties and consultation groups. These have included the Tax Determination for Educators, ECE Regulatory Review, Operating Costs, RS61 review Group, OSCAR etc.

We’ll keep you well informed and up-to-date with the many changes in our sector. Service Provider members receive in-depth policy and legislative information directly as it comes to hand.

You'll be invited to join with your fellow professionals in the Regional and Local events, including mini-conferences, guest speaker evenings, forums to discuss current issues and even some great social get-togethers.

Payment Plan Option

If you also purchase a number of Individual Memberships for your employees/contractors, you are able to spread your total fee payment out across 11 months. Contact us for more information on the conditions of this.

Fees 

This also grants you a license to use the NZHECEA logo in all of your marketing, for as long as your membership is active. We provide a formal certificate for you to display, showing your membership of New Zealand’s official Home-based Early Childhood Education association.   

  • Up to 3 Licensed Networks – plus one Individual Membership for 1 person nominated by the Service (e.g.: the owner/ manager) $200 per year.
  • More than 3 Licensed Networks – plus one Individual Membership for 1 person nominated by the Service (e.g.: the owner/ manager) $300 per year.

Prices include GST and the full cost of your membership fee is tax deductible.
