1 | Helen Armstrong - "Care and Curriculum" | A practical guide to providing respectful care for infants and toddlers in group settings. This workshop will explore what it means to have care at the heart of the curriculum, covering respectful relationships, quality care moments, rituals, ideal environment set up and much more. |
2 | Sharon Holt - "Kia kaha te reo Maori" | Gain confidence to use more Māori language with children through Te Reo Singalong books. Sharon Holt is known for her popular Te Reo Singalong books and her video tips on Māori language pronunciation. In this workshop, Sharon will outline her top tips for pronouncing Māori words, phrases and place names. These tips will help educators to gain confidence to use the Māori resources all around them, including Te Reo Singalong books. Sharon will also show you how to bring Te Reo Singalong books to life with easy props. |
3 | Pearl DSilva - "Through the Looking Glass and Beyond" | Who in the world am I? Ah, that's the great puzzle! Using a few famous quotes from the book, Pearl will engage participants in a discussion on providing an authentic home-based programme that supports children’s holistic development through research, exercises and kōrero. |
